The extension unit works very well and is very easy to install. I did have to search online for the manual for the parent unit to figure out how to add it. However, that turns out to be easy and before you know it you hear two children crying. You will never reach the range of 3 kilometers in practice. But luckily it is a few hundred meters, which will be more than enough in most situations.
