Thanks to dual-band WiFi, the chance of internet connection issues is very small.
With a motion sensor of 1.5 to 9 meters, you'll receive a notification via the app, even in the dark.
You can set up the doorbell using the existing wiring as well as wirelessly.
You need a strong WiFi signal near your front door to use this doorbell, so consider getting a WiFi extender to create a strong WiFi network.
It's only possible to store and share footage if you also get a Ring Protect subscription.

Description

The Ring Video Doorbell 4 is a smart doorbell that also shows you what happened before a motion detection. It saves color footage from 4 seconds earlier, so it gives you additional information. Because the doorbell works on a rechargeable battery, installation is very easy. On top of that, this battery lasts a little longer than other Ring models. You can easily set the motion zones of the doorbell. This way, you decide at what time you receive motion notifications. You can communicate with visitors via the Ring app. The close-up motion detection of the Ring 4 can be set up to 1.5m in front of your door. You pay a monthly or annual fee to store the recorded images in the Cloud.

Note: you need a Ring Protect subscription if you want to view recorded footage or use person detection. This costs € 3,99 per month.

- Good picture, even at night.
- Quickly installed and activated!
- Critical : no automatic live view when someone calls, on your tablet, for example (not useful on the phone). So you have to walk to your tablet to see who rings the doorbell. Usually too late! This used to be!

Positive are the various image options and settings that you can adjust to personal needs. Negative is the lack of the option to automatically see who is at the door when you ring the bell - seems to me to be the essential function of a video doorbell!
