It is a very nice device, really pleasing to the eye. By being able to freshly grind your beans yourself and because you can first let the coffee soak (blooming) and the water rotates, you get really delicious coffee. However, the buttons do not always work immediately, so that you sometimes have to press several times and your patience is tested. You can fill the reservoir very conveniently, because you can remove it. So no more hassle with leaking coffee pots. After 40 minutes, the coffee machine switches itself off, which is very safe. You really need the user manual in the beginning, to learn what all the buttons are for.

In recent weeks we have been able to test this Melitta EPOS coffee machine. We are very satisfied with it. An important aspect for us was the fact that you can use freshly ground beans but still pre-ground coffee. The Pour Over brewing method is a good addition to get the best out of your beans. Based on the standard settings, we already got coffee that met our taste. The grinder offers plenty of other options to prepare your coffee to your own taste. You can even correct the grind amount to better match your coffee beans. It takes less than 10 minutes to take the device out of the box and install it on your kitchen counter. You can push the plug cord back into the device, so that no more cord is visible than necessary. After two flushes, the device is ready for use. The water tank is removable and therefore easy to fill to the desired amount via the measuring lines on the side. You can then decide for yourself which coffee you put in the removable filter holder. If you choose to grind coffee beans yourself, use the controls on the left. You can select three strengths (mild, ideal or strong) and the grinding degree can be set to fine, medium or coarse. After grinding, the operation continues on the right side. There you can choose to apply blooming (degassing of the coffee), in which the device automatically sprinkles the coffee a little. After a short pause, the special water spout will rotate clockwise and counterclockwise to allow water to flow out of the three water valves according to different patterns. As soon as the coffee is ready, a signal sounds and the device (including hot plate) switches off automatically after 40 minutes.
