Super easy to install and compatible without any problem with 2 memory cards that were in my iMac when purchased (clock speed of old and new must be the same - here 2666MHz). The existing 2x 8GB now supplemented with 2x 16GB, so a total of 48GB. I followed the instructions to place the existing cards that were in slots 1 and 3 together in slots 1 & 2, and then placed the new ones in slots 3 & 4. According to the manual, a restart could take up to 30 minutes, but it hardly took longer than a normal startup of the Mac.
Just be careful that when placing the new cards, they are placed in the correct direction. Use the position of the notch as a reference, do not rely on the appearance of the memory cards.
