Tried several Tripods and this one stood out for the price. The quick release in particular is an advantage over other models. I am in favor of this system to secure the legs because you can visually see whether they are attached. The only drawback is the price, especially for a novice, this is a considerable cost. On the other hand, I also tried cheaper ones, but I had no confidence in attaching my expensive camera to that. All too often you read that pieces break off. If you are looking, this is certainly a good tripod, if you work with a system camera, I would definitely stay in this price range. Cheaper tripods can certainly be used for smaller cameras or smartphones
