Moccamaster KBG Select Yellow

After having a coffee machine with capsules for a long time, I had been looking for a coffee machine with a filter for a while. There is nothing better than a cup of coffee, carefully poured by hand. Moccamaster KBG Select guarantees the perfect cup of coffee, so my expectations were high. When I unpacked the Moccamaster KBG Select, I was immediately enthusiastic about its design. Not only does it look beautiful, it is also handmade, so top quality. Its details distinguish the Moccamaster KBG Select from other filter coffee machines. The water is heated very quickly by the copper heating element and almost immediately the water drips almost silently onto the coffee powder. By dripping, the powder is evenly moistened and the aromas are released. The optimal release of the aromas is partly due to the ideal temperature of the water, namely between 92°-96° degrees. Once the coffee has run through, it remains perfectly kept at the temperature of 80°-85° degrees for 40 minutes. Too bad I think the loose lids of the water and filter section, they fit perfectly and don't fall off, but would be easier to use if they were attached. I already knew that I loved filter coffee, but the design, the ease of use and the taste of the coffee of the Moccamaster KBG Select, make this an ideal filter coffee machine for me!

Looks great. However, not suitable for 1 mug (2 cups), is not stated on the website, but Moccamaster admits this after obtaining information. Means that you have to make at least 4 cups to get hot coffee, otherwise the coffee is just warm..... So you should know that in advance, have not used the device yet, but an acquaintance pointed this out to me, after I unpacked it of course. So now it is doubtful whether he will stay. O and review does not say much in this case, the stars, the text does.

Judging by the reviews of others, I was expecting delicious filter coffee. After about a week of experimenting twice a day, the Moccamaster meets that expectation and I now have a nice strong container, which is also nice and hot. I started drinking filter coffee because I (only now) discovered that the way I always brewed coffee (cafetière) could contribute to a too high level of bad cholesterol. At first, using the manufacturer's directions, I found the coffee way too watery. I ended up roughly doubling the amount of coffee. And: bought suitable filter bags. I still had bags at home but a size too small. I thought it wouldn't make a difference, they were size 2 instead of 4, but now that I have the right size, I notice that it does make a difference to the taste. As promised, the appliance is very fast (you hardly have time to unload the dishwasher in the meantime!). I also like the old-fashioned simmering sound and the coffee smell that is given off during the process. In short, really happy with the Moccamaster. And that it's pricey, that's just the way it is, I think it's worth the money.
