Purchased for 2 reasons: Better WiFi coverage than Proximus BBOX3 and Parental Control (mainly because of the possibility to set the daily duration of internet use for all devices linked to a specific user).
As for the former, I can be clear: the AX10 delivers comparable performance to the BBOX3. Sometimes a slightly better signal quality but certainly no further range. Those looking for this can save costs and invest better in a mesh system. With regard to the latter, it should be mentioned that the AX10 does not (yet) offer mesh support.
It is also noticeable that uploading photos on an Android smartphone to a Synology NAS on the same network via WiFi is extremely slow. The same action via the BBOX3 is on average 5x faster.
As for the parental controls, this is also a huge setback. If you set a specific time period for all devices linked to a certain user (for example, 3 hours a day), this will soon be used up in practice. Reason: modern devices such as tablets and smartphones have apps running in the background that connect to servers (google, facebook, samsung, ...) on the internet.
