The Sony 16-55mm f/2.8 G is a compact wide-angle lens with zoom for your APS-C mirrorless camera. Thanks to the flexible focal length, you can photograph both landscapes and portraits with this lens. The maximum f/2.8 aperture ensures that the lens is light-sensitive. Thanks to this, you can use the lens with a difficult light environment, such as during a sunrise or sunset. This aperture stays the same when you zoom in with the lens, so the light intensity won't change. The lens is part of the Sony G series and has 2 AA elements, 2 aspherical lens elements, and 3 ED elements. This provides a detailed image with natural colors. There's a button for autofocus lock on the lens. In the menu, you can assign other functions to the button, for example selection of left or right eye. This is useful for portrait photographers.
