Acer Predator Z35P

First let me say that this is a great ultrawide monitor. This monitor is set to 100hz and can then advance to 120hz if desired. While other ultrawide monitors come out of the box at 60hz and then overclock to 100hz. The design of the monitor is of good quality and sturdy, only if red is not your color or does not fit your computer setup, you are unfortunately out of luck. The color contrast of the screen is excellent. The black is really as black as the night sky. This makes the colors stand out more during gaming, photo editing or watching movies. The display's power and video ports are mounted in an extremely awkward location. Where as in other Acer ultrawide monitors the ports are on the back of the monitor, so you can easily reach them, ports of the Z35P are at the bottom of the monitor, making it quite difficult to connect your HDMI, displaysport or power input. This does not apply to the USB ports that are on the back of the Z35P. Furthermore, my model suffered from unacceptable backlight bleed, I understand that there is always a bit of bleed in monitors. But in my case, I couldn't overlook that. It hindered the beautiful colors that I was so excited about. However, for such an expensive monitor, I expect quality control to be number 1 priority. Finally, I do recommend this monitor, but please be aware of the teething problems. This monitor has the potential to be a great all-round monitor for gaming and other everyday tasks.
