According to our stand for tablets expert
A tablet offers a lot of functionalities that are also useful in the car. You can control your music or use it as a navigation system, for example. De Vogel's TMS 1050 Tablet Dashboard Pack ensures you always have a clear view of your tablet without losing out on safety. With the suction cup, you can easily attach the mount and it always stays in the right place. The mount is suitable for tablets from 7 to 12 inches.

I agree with all the positive comments in the other reviews regarding quality, but it surprises me that nowhere the limited mobility of this holder is mentioned: you cannot move the tablet horizontally (rotate) from the plunger and the tablet itself cannot (vertically or horizontally) tilt (there is no 'ball' or the like). The tablet is therefore always straight ahead in relation to the plunger. If you attach the piston to the dashboard, you could put the tablet in your own direction, but only by loosening the piston and reattaching it (you don't want that kind of fiddling when you're driving). In the arm there is a hinge point with which you can raise and lower the tablet, but then the tablet tilts backwards or forwards, which gives you a poor view of the tablet; You should not want to adjust this while driving. This may all seem trivial, but I think the mobility of the holder is the most important thing, because the light in a moving car changes continuously - especially with tablets that are glossy. Vogel makes good products, but for this price I don't think a suction cup with a stick and a clamp on the end is a good buy. Another tip for people with an 8" tablet or Ipad Mini: the clamp is too wide to clamp it on the narrow side of the tablet (as you can see in the photos), so you only clamp it on the long side The clamp is designed in such a way that most of it remains accessible (eg the charging port remains accessible), but it is not very practical.

I only needed the arm to mount it to a wall scissor arm (photo) for the reading corner

I am very happy with it but is not stable when driving. I secured it with two screws. I'll ride a bus. Slightly more bumpy than a passenger car.
