Description

Even though styli have become more popular, many people still prefer to take notes by hand with pen and paper. With this Adonit Jot Script Stylus Evernote Edition, that's a thing of the past. The tip of the stylus is 3 times smaller than that of a regular stylus. This ensures it'll be just as easy to write on your iPad as it is on paper. Another great function of this stylus is the palm detection. With many styli, it's a hassle to write on your tablet because it reacts to your palm as well. Because of this, you can't really rest your palm on the screen. With the Jot Script, it knows the difference between the stylus and your hands. The only reason left to choose a traditional pen is that the stylus is way to pretty to chew on.

Unusable

  • pairing works smoothly
  • keeps falling out

Very disappointing user experience! - there is a difference of 3 to 4 mm on the tip of the pen and the result on the screen. Dots on an i or dash on t is impossible - the palm does make stripes on the screen. - the pen regularly just doesn't respond - lines are not sharp at all, you still have the feeling that you are working with a marker! only the pairing with the iPad (air) seems to go well. I don't really understand the positive reviews either, especially if you also read the Evernote forum. Unusable an alpha or beta product. Surface + Styles works a hundred times better!

Beautiful but unfortunately not functional

  • Easy in use
  • Connecting is easy
  • Price/performance

After reading and looking at many reviews, I ordered this pen. Unfortunately, this pen doesn't work well on my iPad Air 1. The connection is fine, but the writing is disappointing. Several times per sentence, the pen doesn't pick up bits of what I'm writing. I used the two best apps for this pen (Penultimate, Goodnotes 4.something) The last version of Penultimate required me to install ios8.x. I don't think this version will run on all iPads anymore. I had the exact same problem with both apps. It's like writing with a pen that's running out of ink. Palm Rejection doesn't help. Holding the pen in 10 different ways doesn't help either. Cleaned screen, changed battery etc.. nothing helped. It just doesn't work right. The pen feels very solid and looks nice. The button to turn it on is difficult to find when it is a bit dim because it has exactly the same color as the rest of the pen and does not stick out. I would put the power button on top of the pen. Given the reviews, this pen seems to work well on some iOS devices. The comment I saw elsewhere in a review "Works well on all IOS devices" is simply not correct. If you have another model of iPad, I would definitely try this pen. Chances are it will work fine on another iPad model.

Instant online notes on the iPad

  • Written text via PenUltimate in Evernote
  • Feels good in the hand
  • Ready to use
  • No drawbacks to the pen itself

At first I thought what a small package, but of course it is no more than the necessary pen. I immediately tried it out in PenUltimate with the link to Evernote. I wanted to order it before, but still had the old iPad and there you have no benefits of the blue toot connection in combination with. pulse recognition. Now new iPad mini, so ordered right away ;-) I'm very happy with it. You can indicate in PenUltimate how you hold your pen. Your wrist is recognized by the Blue Toot connection and you could simply lean on your iPad screen. Sometimes, however, PenUltimate (the app that is advised by Evernote and Jot) still takes some stripes from your wrist, which is a shame. Also very nice that when you zoom to write, the paper moves as it were, so that you don't have to slide the 'paper' yourself every time. I especially like the link to Evernote. An app that I really use for almost everything (both business and private). The disadvantage of PenUltimate (but the review is of course about the pen) is that you can only write written text. Difficult to review the pen alone, because it is always used in combination with apps. I haven't tested the pen with other apps yet, but I definitely will soon. The pen fits comfortably in the hand. You can indicate in the app how you normally hold your pen, this will be taken into account. Top! The pen has a nice sleek design. What I do miss is a holder, so that if I put it in my bag, it won't get damaged.
