You can control the grill via the dials on the front or top of the grill. Some models have automatic grill programs, so you don't have to think about the right settings. This is useful, because you always use the right temperature and time this way. The Sage the Smart Grill Pro has an included meat thermometer. You can stick this thermometer in the meat, so you can see right away if it's cooked.
