With a blood pressure monitor, you can easily find out if your blood pressure is too high or too low. You often don't notice a high blood pressure, but it does increase the chance of a stroke or heart attack. Luckily, you can easily measure your blood pressure at home with an upper arm or wrist blood pressure monitor. The wrist blood pressure monitor is small, so you can easily do the reading while on the go. The Hartstichting recommends the upper arm blood pressure monitor, because it's the most reliable. When you measure at home, the upper pressure should not exceed 135mmHg and the lower pressure should remain below 85mmHg.
