Simply place your Watch on the charging dock and it automatically attaches itself, or connect the cable to a USB-C adapter and charge your Apple Watch via the power grid. A USB-C adapter isn't included. Note: only the Apple Watch Series 7 and newer the Apple Watch Ultra support fast charging, other Apple Watches will charge at normal speed.
