Harman Kardon Citation Amp Black

I was looking for a compact amplifier to replace my beast of an Onkyo tx sr606 without having to compromise on quality. The Citation Amp had no trouble at all with my JM Lab Cobalt 810 floorstanding speakers. Masses of power! Also in terms of quality, it is not inferior to the Onkyo or my Denon PMA1500R. I don't think amps should sound. No fancy apps: just chromecast and Airplay. ARC or optical for TV, but that has the annoying effect that the amplifier always switches to TV when you turn it on. Why can't that work? Volume setting in Spotify was very rough at first, but if you set a maximum volume to 10% via the web interface, you still have fine sound on half a bar and you can still vibrate the neighbors from the couch if you want. This should have been in the manual. Fantastic technique under the cover of the Dutch Axign. So much pure power from a class D amplifier for so little money. Cheers!

Nice compact amplifier with a lot of power. Two speakers on it and you don't need more. Unfortunately, Harman Kardon has not provided fixes for the various bugs in the firmware for 2 years. Forgetting settings, cracking sound on Airplay are confirmed by customer service, but still not fixed 2 years after reporting.

Harman Kardon brengt een product familie uit "Citation" en stelt op de website dat de Amp te combineren met andere Citation producten. Dat is niet waar! Een Citation One is bijv. niet te koppelen. Hoe kun je als bedrijf een serie producten onder 1 naam uitbrengen die niet met elkaar kunnen samenwerken. Echt een misser!!
