Why insure your laptop at Coolblue?
With a Coolblue Backup Plan, you can cover all the costs that fall outside of the standard 2-year manufacturer's warranty. This way, you can always enjoy your new laptop without worries. If there's something wrong with your laptop in the warranty period, we'll repair it for you. We can't repair it? You'll receive as much CoolblueCredit as a replacement product is worth. We guarantee that. You can choose between 2 packages. There's the Backup Plan Damage and Backup Plan Complete.
Which Backup Plans are there?
Backup Plan Damage
The Backup Plan damage is an extensive coverage against damage. Did you drop your insured laptop, did you bump it, or is there water damage? Or did the laptop get damaged by accidental wrongful use? Register it at one of our stores, via our customer support, or via the online damage form in My Coolblue. We'll make sure your laptop is repaired. If that appears to not be possible, you'll receive the replacement value in CoolblueCredit. Our insurance also covers damage that happened abroad. You can choose between a 2-year or 3-year Backup Plan Damage.
Backup Plan Complete
With a Backup Plan Complete, you'll be protected from fall, bump, and water daamge, unintentional wrongful use, and theft. After you reported the theft to the police, also report it to our customer service. You'll receive the current price of the same or similar replacement product in CoolblueCredit, minus the deductible. Afterwards, you can choose a new product. In case of damage, the process is the same as with the Backup Plan Damage. For Complete, you can also choose between a 2-year or 3-year warranty.
How does a Backup Plan work?
When you buy a new laptop, you can choose to also buy a Backup Plan. You have to pay a one-time fee for this. The amount depends on the specific laptop you want to insure. After you report your damaged or stolen laptop, you only have to pay the deductible. For damage, that's 10% of the purchase price, and 20% in case of theft. With a Coolblue laptop insurance, we arrange everything in the same place. You'll only have contact with Coolblue when you buy it, make a claim, for the repairs, and the completion. This way, we'll help you right away, without a third party.
