What's an ETNA Performance cooktop?
Induction: fast, safe, and easy
Cooking on induction is faster and safer than gas or ceramic. The pan is heated up by a magnetic field, causing the bottom to be hot faster. Besides, the pan heats up instead of the cooktop, which means the cooktop cools down fast after you're done cooking. Each cooking zone has their own touch controls. You can directly control the right cooking zone without having to select a cooking zone first.
Extra wide cooktop
The ETNA Performance cooktops are 70cm wide. Despite their width, they fit in a standard niche of 56cm. Thanks to this unique feature, you'll have more room for large pans and roasting pans without having to cut into the countertop to create a larger niche. The handles of the pans will no longer be in each others way, and cooking will become a lot more organized.
Pause and flexible cooking zone
Just when you put everything on, someone rings the doorbell. To prevent anything from burning or your pan with potatoes from boiling over, you can activate the pause function. You can pause the cooktop with just the touch of a button. The cooktop will continue with the same settings afterwards. With the flexible cooking zones, you can combine 2 cooking zones into 1 elongated cooking surface. This allows you to create space for your fish pan, grill plate, or teppanyaki plate.
Melting and keep-warm function
The cooktops of the ETNA Performance series have a melting function. You can use this function to melt chocolate and butter at a constant temperature of 42°C. That way, you can prevent food from burning. You can also use this function to defrost dishes. Is all of your food ready but not everyone home yet? The keep-warm function keeps the food at a constant temperature of 70°C. Thanks to this, your food stays warm without becoming dry or losing taste.
Design
Your cooktop is an important part of your kitchen. The sleek design of the Performance series cooktops looks stylish in any kitchen. The lines indicate the cooking zones, so you'll know where exactly to place your pans. Choose a cooktop with a matte look if you want it to be a little extra. The lines of the cooking zones and the controls are glossy, black glas, which provides a unique, sleek appearance.
