What do you need to regulate the temperature in your home per room?

Want to set the temperature at home per room? You need a smart thermostat. It's even more useful if you can automatically control the temperature per room. This way, it's only warm where you need it to be. In this article, we'll explain what you need to heat your house per zone.

A house with radiators

If you heat your house with radiators, you need a thermostat and radiator knobs. You have to replace the radiator knows with smart radiator knobs. you can save the most if you provide all your radiators with a smart radiator knob. Not all radiator knobs are suitable for smart thermostats. You can't connect a smart radiator knob if your current radiator knob doesn't have a display, numbers, or buttons. If this is the case, call a plumber to replace the knob.

A house with floor heating

If you have a house with floor heating, you can probably already set the temperature per room. Do you have smart Tado thermostats? Add a smart thermostat to set up schedules for each room. With smart temperature sensors, you can also measure the temperature per room.

A house with electric heating

If you use electric heating, you can turn it into smart heating with a smart plug. You can switch it on and off at specific times, for example. Connect the smart plug to your smart thermostat to control the temperature per zone.

Control floor heating and radiators separately

If you have floor heating and radiators in your house, you can control the temperature via 1 central point. There are various ways to do this. In any case, you need a main thermostat for the boiler. The main thermostat is what controls the temperature in the house. Connect the main thermostat to the first boiler. You can then add radiator knobs for radiators connected to a different boiler, and add an extra thermostat for rooms with floor heating. You still only need 1 starter kit.
