What's Miele PowerWash and how do you use it?
Miele PowerWash
A Miele PowerWash washing machine sprays water with detergent over your laundry in the drum. This way, you can wash thoroughly. The washing machine wets your clothes from above, while the drum rotates. This way, it spreads the detergent over your laundry evenly. This way, you get a clean result with relatively little water. The PowerWash technology works automatically with wash cycles for cotton or dress shirts, for example.
Miele QuickPowerWash
Use the QuickPowerWash cycle to wash extra quickly. With this cycle, you can wash 5kg of laundry in 49 minutes. This way, you're done in time to go to the gym and you save energy at the same time. QuickPowerWash is suitable for lightly or medium soiled laundry that you can wash at 40 or 60°C. Make sure that the drum is half full at most.
Sensor buttons Quick and Eco
The 'Quick' and 'Eco' sensor buttons are extra functions on a Miele PowerWash washing machine. You can combine it with a wash cycle for cotton, for example. If you're in a hurry, choose 'Quick'. This way, the washing machine shortens the cycle. With 'Quick', you do consume more energy. Do you want to wash energy-efficiently? Use the sensor button 'Eco'. With this, you can select an extra energy-efficient cycle that takes a bit longer due to the low temperature. You can find the sensor keys on Miele washing machines with PowerWash.
Use your own detergent
You might be wondering if you can use your own laundry detergent with Miele PowerWash. The answer is short: yes. You put it in the left compartment of the detergent drawer. Are your clothes very dirty? Use the right compartment for the pre-wash cycle. To add your own fabric softener, open the lid at the front of the drawer. You can add it where there's a star/flower icon (*). In addition, PowerWash also works with CapDosing capsules. This protects delicate fabrics like wool and silk. Add 1 capsule per wash cycle.
