How do you reset your Fitbit Charge 5, 6, or Fitbit Luxe?
Reset in 2 steps
You can reset your Fitbit Charge 5, Charge 6, or Fitbit Luxe in 2 ways:
- Step 1: Soft reset: restart your Fitbit. You keep your data.
- Step 2: Hard reset: revert to factory setting. Your data is removed from your Fitbit.

Reset your Fitbit Charge 6 and Charge 5
Restart your Fitbit Charge 5 and 6 if it doesn't connect to your smartphone or of the screen doesn't respond anymore.
- Swipe down from the start screen (with the clock face on it).
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Restart device.
- Tap Restart again.
Doesn't the restart solve anything? Follow the following steps. Note: You will lose all your data:
- Connect your Fitbit to your charger.
- Press the button on the flat side of the charger 3 times. This flat piece is fixed to the USB-A connector. Wait 1 second after each press.
- Wait 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears.
Reset your Fitbit Luxe
Follow the same steps for a Fitbit Luxe:
- Swipe down from the start screen (with the clock face on it).
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Restart device.
- Tap Restart again.
Doesn't the restart solve anything. Follow the following steps. Note: you'll lose all your data:
- Connect your Fitbit to your charger.
- Press the button on the flat side of the charger 3 times. This flat piece is fixed to the USB-A connector. Wait 1 second after each press.
