What can you do with the Fitbit app?
Track your sleep
With your Fitbit smartwatch, you can track your sleep. The next day, you can see your sleep score, how many hours you've slept, and when you slept light or deep. Are you often tired? Set a sleep goal. Enter the time you want to wake up. The app calculates at what time you should go to bed. You'll get a reminder when it's time to go to bed, so you can create a sleeping rhythm.

Track your activities
To stay healthy, it's important to stay active. Most Fitbit models have GPS. This allows you to see your traveled route. Do you want to listen to music or stay up-to-date of smartphone notifications while working out ? Bring your smartphone to your workout. You can view your workouts in the Fitbit calendar.
Measure your heart rate
Thanks to the optical heart rate sensor in your Fitbit smartwatch, you'll know how high or low your heart rate is. You can look at your heart rate readings of the past few days in the Fitbit app. This way, you can check if you had a good heart rate during your workout. The Fitbit app calculates your fitness based on your heart rate. You can also see if your physical condition is better or worse than average, compared to other people your age.
Increase active hours
Your Fitpit motivates you to stay active and take at least 250 steps every hour. So every hour, you get a notification of how many steps you still need to complete your goal. If you reached your goal, your smartwatch vibrates and congratulates you on reaching your goal. In the app, you can see how many hours you've been active that day.
Gain insight into your cycle
With Fitbit, you can stay up to date of your menstrual cycle. Make a note of when your previous cycle started in the Fitbit app, and the smartwatch predicts your next cycle and your fertile period. You can add extra information in the app, such as the intensity of your blood loss, symptoms like cramps and bloating, and your mood. The app also predicts the day you'll ovulate. This can be helpful when you want to get pregnant.
Note: the app isn't a type of birth control.
Reach your target weight
With the Fitbit app, you can keep track of your weight. Enter your target weight and the app shows your progress. That way, you know exactly how much weight you still have to gain or lose. The smartwatch also calculates your BMI when you enter your length. Want to keep an even closer eye on your weight? Purchase a Fitbit scale. You can connect the scale to the app, so you also get insight into your fat percentage, BMI, and muscle mass.
Drink enough water
Drinking water has benefits for your body. Your organs function better, toxins leave your body faster, and you have more energy. In the Fitbit app, you can easily keep track of the amount of water you drink in a day. Set a goal in the app, such as 2L of water each day, and make note of each glass of water you drink. The app shows you exactly how much water you still need to drink to reach your goal.
Track your food intake
Enter your food intake per day into the app. Based on your weight and your target weight, the Fitbit app then calculates how many calories a day you can consume. Are you working out in the morning? The app will increase your calorie goal, depending on how many calories you burned. Thanks to the useful scanner in the app, you can easily keep track of your calorie intake. Scan the barcode on a product and the app knows how many calories it contains.
