How does iPhone Upgrade work?
- First, calculate the trade-in value in the Coolblue App or on our website. You can read how to do this in this article.
- Then, buy your new iPhone online via our website and have it delivered to you.
- Transfer all data on your old device to your new iPhone. This way, you won't lose any photos or contacts.
- Visit the store within 30 days and trade in your old smartphone.
- We determine the trade-in value of your old smartphone in the store. We'll transfer the amount to your bank account within 7 working days or as CoolblueCredit right away.

The Coolblue App recognizes your smartphone. This way, you get an estimate of the trade-in value right away. This only works if the language of the app is set to Dutch.
- Download or open the app on your smartphone.
- You now see the homepage. Scroll down until your see the blue box with the trade-in value.
- This is the maximum trade-in value of your current smartphone. Tap 'Calculate discount' and answer the questions for a precise estimate.
- You now see a new estimate of the trade-in value. In the store, the expert will look at your device one more time and give you the definitive trade-in value.

Make sure your device is completely ready for trade-in before you come to the store. This ensures we can help you as quickly as possible. So make sure to transfer all your data to your new device and remove all of the accessories.
How do we determine the condition of your device?
The expert in the store checks your old smartphone. They'll assess various parts of the device, such as the screen, the battery, and the casing. The condition of your device determines your discount amount.
