Backlit local dimming televisions
Behind the screen of a backlit or global dimming television are lights that are divided into 4 to 12 zones. For example, backlit TVs recognize that most of the image is dark during a scene with a starry sky and dim the lights. This makes the image extra black. Compared to Full Array, these screens darken the image less accurately and brighter parts like stars also become slightly darker.
