The Samsung The Frame (2023) looks just like a painting. As an art lover I am very happy with this, because via the Art Store I show hundreds of different works of art on the realistic QLED screen.

The screen looks like a work of art
The TV has a 10-bit QLED screen. This allows you to view clear images with a lot of color tones on The Frame. This way, works of art on the screen are clearly visible and all the different colors come out clearly. Thanks to the matte screen, I am not bothered by reflections on the screen. The image remains clearly visible even in a lit room. The matte screen also makes works of art look realistic, because the QLED screen looks just like paper thanks to this anti-reflection layer. The contrast of The Frame is less strong than better QLED TVs. This is due to the edge lit local dimming, instead of the full array local dimming of other QLED TVs. Details in dark scenes of horror movies, for example, are less visible. There is also a slight haze around bright points in dark scenes.

Artistic design
It's not just the image quality that makes The Frame look like a work of art. Thanks to the frame, your TV hangs on the wall like a painting. You choose the color of the frame yourself, so you can easily integrate the TV into your interior. Thanks to the included bracket, the TV hangs tightly against the wall, just like a real work of art. The One Connect Box allows you to connect all your peripherals with just one transparent cable. As a result, there is no tangle of cables in sight under the TV.

(Sm)art menu full of choices
In the Art store I find hundreds of different works of art. I show all these works of art with a simple push of a button on the screen. The range is very large, so there is a work of art for every art lover. In the full-screen Tizen smart menu you will find all popular apps such as Netflix, YouTube and Disney +. This way I not only watch my favorite works of art, but also films and series,

Overall, I'm pleased with the TV and I would buy it again, however Coolblue service is really not what I expected. The TV does not come with the actual frame, you have to order this directly from Samsung. However, in order for Samsung to give the additional frame for free, they need an invoice with the TV serial number. Which you would expect to be Coolblue's invoice, but, this is not the case! I contacted their customer support and while they were kind and offered a solution, I found the solution to be quite disruptive. They want me to unmount my TV and exchange it for a brand new one, just so that I can receive a new invoice. This is not a complaint on the people behind support but on Coolblue as a company, since they could improve their processes towards their customers. This is not the first issue I have with them so it seems, and it's the reason I'm mentioning it, so other buyers can know what to expect.

For 2 years I toyed with the idea of buying the Samsung Frame 65 inches. Finally made the decision. Installed this morning by Aaron & Benno from Coolblue. They did an excellent job. The Frame hangs beautifully in the living room and the first paintings pass by... Hanging a 65 inch is quite a thing and I am very happy that I clicked on the installation option. It costs a bit, but then you get something!
