Second Chance Garmin Fenix 7 Pro Solar Black 47mm

I had purchased this Fenix 7s pro solar as an upgrade for my faithful Fenix 5s. I was very satisfied with the clear map display and GPS function of the 5s, but the battery did not last long enough for very long trips using the map and GPS. The heart rate was also very off lately and when changing wrists it was immediately 20 bpm lower. Hence the 7s pro to ensure that the good map function was retained and a better battery life and heart rate measurement. Here I am very disappointed. The maps are no longer simply taken over from Strava routes, I immediately got a breadcrumb trail with the first trail that we could not do anything with. After some research I had to download the entire map of Europe and now the track is on a map. However, the battery runs out very quickly when using this map. Why was the map display of the 5s and 6 pro series not retained? For more detailed maps (topographic) you have to take out an annual subscription with Garmin. Fortunately not for the regular map, but it remains to be seen whether it will be detailed enough for trail running and it is a shame that the good things from the previous series were not included.
