The bad news.... the kettle doesn't reach the temperatures. I sat on it with a Thermapen. If you set 100 degrees, you get a maximum of 97 degrees. You can also see from the vapor, the moment the first vapor cloud comes out of the spout, the tube already jumps off: somewhere it must have been 100 degrees but not over the entire content, other / previous kettles still went a 10 a 20 seconds after the first vapor appears. For a temperature below 100 it is therefore best to add 5 degrees to the temperature you want, which is a pity. It is difficult to read the amount of water, it is hidden behind the handle. Also not convinced that the lid mechanism will last very long, and the filling opening is relatively small (the lid opens at 45 degrees). The good news... available in many colors except stainless steel (needs a paint job). Pouring spout is wonderful (not at all), they should put that on all "pouring" devices. Device works quickly, looks very nice.

When our old kettle gave up the ghost a few weeks ago, I came to look at coolblue for the possible new options. When I saw this kettle I was immediately sold by its appearance, but the price was a bit disappointing. After having watched some reviews and the video on youtube, I decided to pay the extra (certainly compared to a standard kettle) It is now used daily and the fact that you can determine how hot your water gets is a nice plus. I have filled the kettle with 1.5L tap water and the time to reach 100°C is 3m45s for me. The youtube video shows 1m45s but that is a bit exaggerated. Pouring out the boiling water happens without "leaks" and that is also a difference with the previous kettle that we had in our possession, where you always had to be careful. Very satisfied with this purchase (and of course also with the great Coolblue service) gr Bart

A very nice kettle. Tough design. User friendly. Makes little noise. Does not leak when donating. Disadvantage: not good to see how much water is in it.
