What's Samsung Q-Symphony?
Samsung Q-Symphony
Q-symphony is a technology with which you hear sound from your soundbar, but also from your television. This technology makes the sound from your soundbar and television work together and become one. This provides a realistic sound reproduction. If a car speeds past you on the left in a movie, you also hear it speed past you on the left side of your living room.
Full and realistic sound
Most of the time, you connect a soundbar to your TV so you don't have to use the sound of the television. This works differently for Samsung TVs and soundbars with Q-Symphony technology. When you connect these devices, you don't disable the sound of the TV. As a result, the TV speakers work together with the speakers of the soundbar and you can enjoy extra powerful, round, and spatial audio. Because the TV speakers tilt upwards, the sound reaches you from different directions. You can really hear the sound all around you.
Seamless connection between TV and soundbar
Connect the soundbar to the television with an HDMI cable or optical cable. Then, press and hold the 'Source' button until you see 'D.IN'. Q-Symphony has been activated. You can control both devices with just the OneRemote Control. With this remote, you can also control peripherals. A Blu-ray player and decoder, for example. With the Samsung SmartThings app, you can control your Samsung devices with your smartphone.
Spatial audio with a surround set
With a surround set like the HW-Q990C soundbar and speaker set, you're assured of real surround sound. If your combine this set with a Samsung TV, you have 9 speakers in the soundbar and the TV, 1 subwoofer, and 2 external rear speakers. Because the soundbar and rear speakers also have speakers that tilt upwards, the sound reflects to your listening position via the ceiling. This way, you can enjoy sound coming from different directions and it feels like you're right in the middle of the movie.
