What's a Philips OneBlade?
How the OneBlade works
You can use the OneBlade trimmer on a wet or dry skin, with or without comb attachment. It's important to know that the OneBlade doesn't shave the skin directly, not even without a comb attachment. The advantage is that you can enjoy a comfortable shave without skin irritation. A possible downside is that you don't have a completely smooth shave. Your skin looks smooth, but you still feel stubbles. We call this a five o'clock shadow.
Trim, style, and shave
You can shave with the OneBlade without a comb attachment. You can put the head of the trimmer flat on the skin, so you make full contact. Next, you can move the head over your face in downwards and upwards long strokes. To trim, you can use a comb attachment and move the trimmer against the growth direction of the hair. You can create straight lines and details without a comb attachment. You can also trim your sideburns and any neck hair.
For the face or body
In addition to OneBlade models that are suitable to trim your facial hair, there are also OneBlade models that are suitable for both your face and body. These OneBlade Face + Body trimmers have a shaver blade and comb attachment specially for your body, so you can shave and trim your chest or back. For a sensitive skin, you can use the skin protector. This way, you can also safely trim your armpits and intimate zone.
Maintenance
To guarantee a hygienic shave or trim, it's important to maintain the blade of your OneBlade. You can do this by rinsing the blade under the faucet before and after use. Thanks to the wear indicator, the blade turns green after a while, so you know exactly when you have to replace the blade. If you use the trimmer about 2 times per week, you have to replace the blade of your trimmer after 4 months.
