What drill is suitable for the occasional handyman?

In addition to professionals and devoted DIYers, we distinguish another user type for drills: the occasional handyman. As the name suggests, the drills in this category are suitable for occasional handymen who do some small jobs in and around the house. We'll explain who the occasional handyman is and which drills are suitable for them.

Then who is that?

Who is the af-and-toe handyman?

The occasional handyman is someone who sometimes does DIY jobs. Students who are renting and want their own basic tools, for example. Or a young couple that's moving and has to do some jobs. This doesn't mean that the occasional handyman has two left hands, but it's definitely not their hobby to work on DIY jobs. If you don't want to go to the neighbors every time you need to drill a hole, it's useful to have a drill.

The drill has to be powerful enough to drill small and average holes up to 30mm. You don't necessarily need larger than that. With a 54Nm maximum torque, you can easily assemble closets. In terms of power supply, a 1.5Ah battery is enough. You can always get more, but the occasional handyman usually doesn't work long enough for the battery to completely run out. Drills for the occasional handyman often include a drill bit set, screws, and plugs. And sometimes they even come in a useful suitcase.
