What are the health features on Garmin smartwatches?
Keep track of your energy level with the the Body Battery
With the Garmin Body Battery function, you can track your energy level throughout the day. Most Garmin smartwatches measure this, like the Garmin Epix, Fenix, Vivoactive, and Venu series. Your Body Battery is based on a combination of your heart rate, stress, and activities.
Your energy level is scored between 1 and 100. The higher the number, the more energy you still have. A lower score means it's time to take some rest and relax. If you sleep well, your Body Battery will recover back up to 100%.
Measure your stress
You'll always have insight into your stress level with a Garmin smartwatch around your wrist. Stress means excitement, which can be both good and bad. Your smartwatch measures stress via your heart rate variability. A stress level of 1 is low and 100 is high. Thanks to this, you'll always know when you need to relax and stop your workout. In the Garmin Connect app, you can find tips on how to reduce your stress level.
Get insight into your sleep
You can also wear Garmin watches at night, because these watches measure your sleep. This way, you can see exactly for how long you were in a deep sleep. The Garmin Venu 2 will give you a sleep score every morning. This sleep score is made up of different parts, like sleep duration, heart rate during your sleep, and the amount of deep sleep or REM sleep you had during the night. You can see the sleep score in the watch itself, but also in the Garmin Connect app. The app can also give you advice on how to improve your sleep score.
Log your menstruation or pregnancy
Women can keep track of their menstrual cycle or pregnancy on their Garmin smartwatch. You can log the symptoms like cramps or headache, see when your next menstrual cycle begins, or when your ovulate. Are you pregnant? You can also log those symptoms and you can see an estimation of the growth of your baby. The Garmin Connect app will also give you advice about exercise and food during your pregnancy.
Insight into your health thanks to Health Snapshot
On the Garmin Venu 2 and Garmin Venu 2 Plus, you can find the new Health Snapshot function. With this function, you can measure your general health. The reading takes 2 minutes, and it measures your breathing, heart rate, stress level, and oxygen saturation, for example. The Garmin Connect app will give a report that shows your health data. You'll also receive advice in the app on how to improve your health.
