Dryer height
A dryer has a standard height of 85cm. Do you put the dryer underneath a counter or cupboard? Measure the space underneath well. This way, you can be sure the dryer fits.
Dryer width
The standard width of a dryer is 60cm. Do you want to place your dryer next to your washing machine? Be sure to measure if there's enough space for the appliance. This way, you prevent that the dryer won't fit. Also keep the door direction in mind. That allows you to ensure the doors of the washing machine and dryer won't bump into each other when you open them.
Dryer depth
The depth of a dryer differs per model and lies between 55 and 70cm. The depth of a dryer depends on the load capacity, for example. Do you have a higher load capacity? The drum is larger and the appliance a bit deeper. Do you want to put the dryer on top of a washing machine? Make sure the washing machine is deeper than 55cm, and that you use a stacking kit. It doesn't matter if the dryer is a bit deeper than the washing machine.
Load capacity
In addition to the size of the dryer, you also want to know how many clothes fit in the appliance. How much laundry you can dry in one go depends on the load capacity. Do you only dry small loads of laundry for yourself? A 7kg load capacity is enough. Do you also dry larger loads of laundry, such as bedding for 2 or 3 people? It's better to choose 8kg. With a 9kg load capacity or more, you can also dry large loads of bedding in one go.
