There's a different product name on the box of my TV
It's possible that the box of your new Samsung TV has a different product name than the model you bought. That's because Samsung often uses the same box for an entire series. For example, they ship the Q64A in a box that says Q60A on it. This may make it look like you got the wrong TV, but it's probably not. We explain what to look out for here.
Check the model code
By reading the model code, you can check whether you've received the correct TV. In any case, follow these steps:
- Look on the box for a white sticker with a barcode on it. This sticker is usually on the side.
- Look for the model code of the television on this sticker.
- If the sticker isn't on the box, you'll also find it on the back of the TV.
Examples
- If it says QE43Q64AAUXN on the sticker, this means that the 43-inch (number after QE) version of the Q64A is in the box.
- If it says QE50QN92AATXXN on the sticker, this means that the 50-inch (number after QE) version of the QN92A is in the box.
On which TVs does the product name not match the box?
The following models are in a series box:
- The Q64A comes in a box marked 'Q60A'.
- The Q64B comes in a box marked 'Q60B'.
- The Q74A comes in a box marked 'Q70A'.
- The Q74B comes in a box marked 'Q70B'.
- The QN92A comes in a box marked 'QN90A'.
