How do you fix an AEG dryer error yourself?

A C2 or E20 error indicates that there's a problem with the water drain.

1. Check if the drain hose is properly connected to your dryer and the drain.
2. Check if there's a kink or big loop in the hose and take it out.

A C6 error code indicates that there's a problem with the humidity sensor. This can make the drying cycle longer than usual.

1. Check if the socket is earthed. You can recognize an earthed socket by the 2 metal pins in the socket.
2. Is the socket unearthed? Connect the dryer to a socket that does have the 2 metal pins.
3. If the socket is earthed, the problem lies with the humidity sensor.
4. First check if the lint trap and the condenser are dry.
5. If the dryer still won't work, you need a technician.

If error code C8 occurs, there's a problem with the temperature sensor. Make an appointment with a technician.

A C8 error code means the door doesn't close properly.

1. Check if there's laundry caught between the door.
2. Put your laundry in the drum properly.
3. Push the door until you hear a click.
4. Unplug the connector for 30 seconds and restart the dryer cycle.

The door doesn't close properly or the dryer is connected to the wrong power group.

1. Put the laundry that was caught between the door back in the drum.

4. Do you have solar panels at home? Make sure the dryer is connected to a different power group.

The dryer won't heat up. It's possible that's because the lint trap and condenser are dirty.

1. Empty the lint trap and rinse it under the faucet.
2. Dry off the lint trap with a clean cloth.
3. Clean the condenser.
4. Finally, make sure the room where your dryer is located is properly ventilated. Open a door or window, for example.

If you see an EH0 or EHO error code, the dryer doesn't receive any power.

1. Check if the connector is properly plugged into the socket.
2. Test to see if a different product does work plugged into this socket.
3. Does the other product not work either? That means there's something with the power supply, not with the dryer.

Isn't your laundry dry after the dryer cycle? The drying level might not be set right. Turn on the machine and set the dial to one of the cycles. Press the 'Drying level' and 'Anti-wrinkle' buttons at the same time until the display changes. Press the start button until CO_ appears. Save the setting by pressing the 'Drying level' and 'Anti-wrinkle' buttons simultaneously again. Doesn't this work? Check the manual of your dryer.
