The most common errors of Haier washing machines
Haier error E1, FB, or CLR FLTR
There's a problem draining the water. First, check the filter of the washing machine. Place a bucket under the rubber pipe and remove the plug. While it's draining, remove the filter and rinse it under the faucet. After, you can put the filter back in place and slide the plug back into the rubber pipe. Also check if there's no kink in the drain hose.
Haier error E2
An E2 error on a Haier washing machine indicates an error with the door. First, check if the door is properly closed. Make sure that there's no laundry stuck between the washing machine and the door. If the washing machine is completely full, the drum may be overloaded. In that case, just take out some clothes. Finally, check the child safety lock. The included manual explains how to turn it off.
Haier error E4
When the washing machine shows error E4, the washing machine doesn't get water or too little water to run the cycle. First, check whether the faucet is open properly. If it's open, check the water supply. The supply hose may be clogged or kinked. If this is the case, remove the kink.
Haier error E12
In case of the E12 error, the washing machine doesn't drain water. First check if the water hose isn't inserted too deep into the drain and that the hose isn't bent or looped. Then, check the drain filter. You can find that at the bottom of the washing machine. Open the hatch, let the water run into a bucket, and twist the filter from the appliance. Rinse it under the faucet and clean the filter hole with a cloth. Remove any objects from the filter.
Haier error CLRF
This error code indicates that there's too much foam in the drum. This happens when you use too much detergent or the wrong type of detergent. The washing machine will wash extra long to get rid of the foam. If it can't get rid of the foam, the washing machine ends the cycle without spinning. Your laundry will still be wet and covered in foam. Rinse out the foam under the faucet. You can now return your laundry and start a new wash cycle. Don't add any extra detergent.
Haier error Unb
If you see this code, there's an issue with the laundry in the drum. Either you've overloaded the drum, or everything has gathered in a heap. This has put the washing machine off balance. Is the drum completely full? Remove some of the laundry. Did your laundry tangle up in 1 big heap? Spread it out over the drum evenly before turning the cycle back on.
Problem not solved?
If the problem isn't solved, you can try resetting the appliance. Simply remove the plug from the socket and wait for 30 minutes.
Didn't work? Unfortunately, you can't solve every problem yourself. Sometimes, you need a technician. For example, when you see one of the error codes below:
- F3: temperature sensor error
- F4: heating error
- F7: motor error
- FA: water level sensor error
- FC, FC0, FC1, or FC2: communication error
