How do you fix a Siemens dryer error yourself?
Siemens error E01 or E02
The lint trap is full, so clean it this way:
- Take out the lint trap.
- Remove the large bits of dust.
- Rinse the lint trap under the faucet.
- Put the lint trap back in.
To prevent future errors, empty the lint trap after every dryer cycle.
Siemens error E06
Your dryer has a problem with the heating. Siemens recommends you to have a technician come over to assess this error. It can help to clean the lint trap and condenser first.
Cycle won't start
If the dryer cycle refuses to start, it's possible you pressed the start button for too short or too long. Make sure you press the start button for about 2 seconds. This is long enough to activate the dryer cycle.
Drum doesn't spin
If the drum doesn't spin, it's possible that the door doesn't close properly.
- Check for laundry caught in the door.
- Make sure you load your dryer properly.
- Check if the drum is too full.
- If necessary, remove excess laundry.
- Push the door until you hear it click.
Other errors
With some error codes, the sensor of the appliance doesn't work because it's broken. In the case of the following error codes, Siemens recommends to have your dryer checked out by a technician:
- 0:27
- E08
- E09
- E10
- E24
- E25
- E28
- E30
- E56
- E63
- E90
Error 'empty reservoir' appears
When the light for the condenser reservoir comes on, the reservoir is full. Remove the reservoir from the dryer and empty it in the sink. When you put the reservoir back and start the dryer cycle, the notification should disappear. Is your dryer connected to the water drain and do you still see this error? Check the manual to learn how you can manually turn off the light. Also make sure there's no loop in the drain hose. The drain also shouldn't be higher up than 1m.
Problem not solved?
It's possible that your Siemens dryer still shows an error code. Unplugging it may solve the problem. Plug it back in after 30 minutes and restart the dryer cycle. Still didn't solve the problem? Check if your dryer is covered by the warranty. If that's the case and you bought it from Coolblue, you can contact our customer service.
