First impression of the JBL Club Pro+
The JBL Club Pro+ has a very different appearance than I know of JBL earbuds. This model comes in a black box, instead of the regular white one. This makes the presentation of this product different right away. These earbuds give me the real party feel, like they've been designed in the party scene. The design of the earbuds match this feeling. They look sleek, and the matte black color matches the feel of the club.
Surprising noise canceling
When I test noise canceling earbuds, I'm always sceptical. The noise canceling quality is by far not as good as the noise canceling of headphones yet. But, JBL Club Pro+ surprises me. Voices around me are reduced a lot, I barely hear a train passing by, and I don't hear water running from the faucet anymore. Only loud, sudden noises are more difficult to reduce for the earbuds, like a book falling on the ground. And when I listen to music set to a lower volume, the noise canceling isn't as good.
Bass is clearly audible
I prefer to listen to music with a lot of bass, like dance. I think the bass reproduction of these earbuds are great. The bass is clearly audible, but not dominant. Thanks to this, the other tones and treble get enough room too. Especially the medium-pitched tones are clearly audible. The combination makes me enjoy the music even more
Decent fit
The wearing comfort of the JBL Club Pro+ is inconsistent. They're fairly secure in my ears, but they fall out when I move my head a lot. Luckily, I can secure the earbuds better myself by twisting them tightly into my ears. That way, they won't fall out during my workout. This does hurt my ears after 2 hours though.
Quickly connected to phone
One of the greatest pros of the JBL Club Pro+ is the Fast Pair technology. When I turn on the earbuds, they connect to the device they connected to last within a couple of seconds. This goes automatically. Thanks to this, I'll never have to connect the earbuds manually again. I'll only have to do this if I want to connect them to a different device.
Conclusion
The JBL Club Pro+ surprises me with properly working noise canceling. Voices are reduced by a lot, and I no longer hear monotone sounds like a passing train. Add the powerful bass and clearly audible medium-pitched tones to this, and I can enjoy my favorite music anytime, anywhere. It just takes some time to get used to the fit, because I have to find out how firmly I want the earbuds in my ears.
