First impression of the Apple iPad Pro (2022)
I tested the large size of this model, the Apple iPad Pro (2022) 12.9 inches. When I open the box, I notice the size right away. The screen is really large. Nothing changed on the appearance of this powerhouse. The 2022 model has the same design as the iPad Pro model of 2021. The box includes a nylon USB-C to USB-C cable of 1m, a USB-C charger, and a small manual, in addition to the tablet itself.
Fast and powerful processor
This iPad model has an M2 processor. You also find this processor in the MacBook Pro (2021), so this is promised to be a powerful iPad. After booting and installing, I test the processor. I open many apps at the same time and can easily switch between them thanks to Stage Manager. Switching is smooth, the apps open fast. Even when I play a graphic game of Apple Arcade, I notice how powerful the processor is. The game doesn't slow down and all animations are displayed smoothly on the screen. Demanding programs like Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Premiere Pro aren't a problem for this iPad.
Bright, large screen
I've never tested an iPad model before with a 12.9-inch screen, so I have to get used to this size. The tablet is quite difficult to hold with just 1 hand. But the large screen is nice to work on. Thanks to the size, I can work on the details of my drawings and designs. This large model has a Liquid Retina XDR screen, which is sharper and brighter than the Liquid Retina display of the iPad Pro (2022) 11 inches. Video editing is great on this iPad, because I can watch my creations in even better quality than Full HD.
Works with the Apple Pencil 2 and Magic Keyboard
The Apple iPad Pro used to work with the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) already, but it has an extra function now. On the iPad Pro (2022), I can hover above the screen with the Pencil. Thanks to this, I see where exactly the tip of my iPad stylus will touch the screen. That's useful when I'm working on designs and illustrations, because I don't have to erase or undo as much.
