In short
- The coated walls prevent food remains from sticking, so it's easier to clean.
- Thanks to turbo fan oven, you can cook food on several levels at the same time.
- The fan grill mode ensures meat is also cooked properly on the inside.
- The dial for microwave and oven functions isn't recessed, so you always have to return it to off.
- The fan keeps blowing for a long time after oven use.
First impression
The first thing that strikes me about the AEG KMS361000M are the dials. These are neatly integrated in the oven and you push them forwards when you need them. This ensure the oven has a neat appearance when you're not using it. The dials are also sturdy, but the dial with oven functions isn't recessed. This takes some getting used to. Thanks to the 4 rack levels, I have enough room to prepare food for several people.
Easy to clean
Cleaning isn't my favorite hobby and I find an oven particularly difficult to clean, but this oven makes it a whole lot easier. The rails for the rack levels are easy to remove. That way, I can wash them manually right away and let them soak for a while. I can also easily clean the coated walls. I simply rub off the dirt with a cloth. Overall, cleaning takes a lot less time than usual.
Various levels at the same time
I always put 2 pizzas in the oven at the same time, but they don't always heat evenly. That's why I have to switch the pizzas halfway through the baking time. With a turbo fan oven, the heating element is located next to the fan so the air is distributed faster and more evenly. This makes the oven suitable to bake on multiple rack levels. I put it to the test and insert in 3 pizzas at once. I'm pleasantly surprised, because all pizzas are baked evenly.
Cook evenly
Cooking meat or fish in the oven is one of the most difficult things, if you ask me. It's often still raw on the inside while it looks good on the outside. With the fan grill mode, the hot air is blown around your dish. This ensures food is cooked all the way. I test it with a pork tenderloin. The outside doesn't dry out as quickly, so I can leave it in the oven longer.
Conclusion
Cleaning is super easy with the AEG KMS361000M. The rails are easy to remove and food remains don't stick to the walls. The turbo fan oven and fan grill mode also make cooking a lot easier. I find the fact that the dial with oven functions isn't recessed a bit annoying. You constantly have to turn it all the way back, especially if you use the last function often.
