Sonos vs Harman Kardon

Sonos multi-room system

Sonos

The most important feature of the Sonos multi-room system is the powerful wireless network it runs on. With the Sonos Boost, you can easily boost the WiFi signal, so you won't be bothered by interferences in your sound reproduction very easily. You can easily add a soundbar or subwoofer to a separate speaker to create a home cinema sound experience. Or place the speakers in multiple rooms for the multi-room effect. In the Sonos app, you can adjust each speaker to the room you place it in via the TruePlay function. You can also control the Sonos speakers with voice commands via Google Assistant. With the Sonos One and Beam, this function is built-in. The other speakers are compatible with Google Assistant. This means that you can control them with speakers that have a built-in voice assistant, such as the Beam, One, or Google Home.

In addition to WiFi, you can also control Harman Kardon speakers via a Bluetooth connection. That's useful if you use the speakers in a place with a poor WiFi signal, such as in the attic or basement. You can easily expand a single Citation speaker to create a complete home cinema sound setup with a subwoofer, surround speakers, soundbar, and column speakers. Place the Citation speakers throughout the house for a multi-room setup and control each speaker separately via the app on your smartphone. The speakers have a built-in Google Assistant, so you can also control them with voice commands. Don't have your phone on you? Read which song is playing on the touch display or tap the screen to play the next song.
