The light output

LSP9T: 2800 ANSI lumens

The light output of a beamer is indicated in ANSI lumens, and it indicates how bright the light is. For example, a light output below 1000 ANSI lumens is low, and above 3000 ANSI lumens is high. The LSP9T has a light output of 2800 ANSI lumens, which is pretty high. This means that the projector shows a bright projection when the lights in the living room are dimmed. If you prefer to leave the lights on during a thriller, the Premiere LSP9T is a good choice.

LSP7T: 2200 ANSI lumens

The LSP7T has a light output of 2200 ANSI lumens. You can still see the projection in dimmed light, but the image looks better in a dark room. This means that it's best to choose the LSP9T if you can't fully darken the room. This also applies to the size of the projection. The larger your projection, the more light output you need. Do you prefer to watch movies with an image that's as large as possible? In that case, it's also best to choose the LSP9T for its brightness.

The sound

LSP9T: Good speakers and Acoustic Beam

Many projectors lack good sound, but that's not the case with The Premiere LSP9T. The projector has 2 good 40W boxes. These produce a very powerful sound. The speaker also has 'Acoustic Beam', which is a row of openings that make sure the sound leaves the device at multiple points. This way, the sound fills the room better and it's more dynamic.

LSP7T: Good speakers

The LSP7T has 2 speakers with a 30W power. They're a bit less powerful than the 40W speakers of the LSP9T, but they still produce a clear sound. This projector doesn't have Acoustic Beam, like the LSP9T has. This way, the sound doesn't fill the room as much, so it's better to sit close to the speakers.

Maximum projection size

LSP9T: maximum projection size of 130 inches

The Samsung The Premiere LSP9T makes projections of 100 to 130 inches. This is similar to a screen size of 2.5 to 3.3m. This way, you can sit in front of the screen with multiple friends while nobody will have a bad viewing position. Make sure if you have a large smooth wall or taut projection screen of this size. In addition, you have to keep the viewing distance of multiple meters in mind, which only large living rooms have.

LSP7T: maximum projection size of 120 inches

The projection size of the LSP7T varies between 90 and 120 inches, which is a bit smaller on average than the LSP9T. This is similar to a screen size of about 3.05m. The Premiere LSP7T is suitable to turn your room into a home cinema, just like the LSP9T. With this projector, also keep in mind that you need a living room with a lot of space for the maximum projection size.

Minimum projection distance

LSP9T: 11cm projection distance for 100 inches

The Premiere LSP9T is an ultra short throw projector, which means it can make a large projection from a short distance to the wall. The projection distance of the LSP9T is 11cm for a 100-inch projection. An advantage of ultra short throw is that you don't have to mount it and you loose less light when it travels to the screen or wall. This means there's more light to make a bright projection. In addition, you can't walk in front of an ultra short throw projection, because the projector stands close to the wall.

LSP7T: 30cm projection distance for 100 inches

The LSP7T is also a short throw projector, but it stands a bit farther from the wall than the LSP9T. Put is 30cm from the wall for a 100-inch projection. That's 20cm farther away than the LSP9T. The same advantages apply as to The Premiere LSP9T, but this projector take sup a bit more space. For example, you have to keep a total distance of 64cm in mind for the LSP7T, and 48cm for the LSP9T.

The light source

LSP: 3 lasers in 1

A laser is a light source that consists of multiple light beams with different colors. The projector adjusts the power of each beam constantly, which is similar to a painter who mixes colors on his palette. This process is repeated by the triple laser of the LSP9T, which consists of 3 laser beams, instead of 1. This way, the projector can mix even more colors, and you'll see more shades than with 1 laser beam.

LSP7T: a single light beam

The light source of the LSP7T consists of 1 laser, unlike the LSP9T. This means it has fewer color tones. But it's not a large difference. The images of the LSP7T are bright and lifelike. In addition, you can see deep black levels and different dark shades in a shadow, for example. The risk of a 'rainbow effect' is larger with a single laser. You might see the colors red, green, and blue on bright parts of the image.

Conclusion

There are some relatively small differences between these 2 projectors. For example, they both project a bright image in a dark room, but the light output of the LSP9T allows for some light in the room. Both projectors are meant for movie enthusiasts who want to invest in a projector with a good image quality, nice sound, and useful functions.
