Image quality

Image quality of the LG OLED C2

C2: OLED Evo and 100Hz

The LG OLED C2 is one of the 2 TVs in the 2022 LG lineup with an OLED Evo screen. This type of screen has an improved way of cooling, which keeps the brightness really high without the TV overheating. The C2 has a higher peak brightness than the average OLED TV. This way, you can see your screen better in brightly-lit rooms, and your TV displays HDR images even better.

Image quality of the LG OLED B2

B2: regular OLED screen and 100Hz

The screen of the B2 is less bright than the C2 because it doesn't have Evo technology. Both the B2 and the C2 do have a 100Hz refresh rate. This means the screen can refresh 100 times per second. So fast movements are displayed smoothly. That way, you can clearly the ball being kicked into the goal during a soccer game.

Image quality of the LG OLED A2

A2: regular OLED screen and 50Hz

The A2 doesn't have an OLED Evo screen, and has a 50Hz refresh rate. That doesn't mean that the A2 has a bad image quality. The OLED screen has millions of pixels that dim and light up individually. This ensures the black parts of the screen are really black, and that the TV has a powerful contrast. So your favorite movies, series, and games look realistic.

Gaming

Gaming functions of the LG OLED C2

C2: HDMI 2.1 and low input lag

The C2 is a fully equipped television for enthusiastic gamers. Even when you play on more recent consoles like the PlayStation 5, this TV has many useful technologies to use. The TV supports gaming in 4K resolution and with a 100Hz refresh rate, so all moments in your game look razor-sharp and smooth. You can connect your new console to the 4 HDMI 2.1 inputs, so you can fully enjoy all next-gen functions.

Gaming functions of the LG OLED B2

B2: HDMI 2.1 and low input lag

The B2 supports the same gaming functions as the C2. Both TVs have a low input lag of 13ms when you play a game with a 50Hz refresh rate. With a 100Hz refresh rate, the input lag is even lower at 5.4ms. This means that fast actions are displayed smoothly, and you'll barely notice any delay between the button your press and the on-screen action. The B2 has 2 HDMI 2.1 inputs.

Gaming functions of the LG OLED A2

A2: without HDMI 2.1, with low input lag

Because the A2 has a lower refresh rate than the other 2 televisions, the TV is less suitable for gaming. In addition, the A2 doesn't have HDMI 2.1 inputs. So you can't optimally use the most recent game consoles on this TV. The TV also has a low input lag of 13ms. This way, you can still enjoy a comfortable gaming experience with somewhat slower games on older consoles, like the PlayStation 4 or the Nintendo Switch.

Size and design

Design of the LG OLED C2

C2: various sizes, luxurious design

The C2 has a large offer of various sizes. The smallest C2 is the compact 42-inch that's suitable for smaller living rooms or bedrooms. The largest is the impressive 83-inch for large rooms. The design of the stand differs per inch size. The 42-inch has 2 small leg stands, and the 48 and 83-inch have a wide steel stand. The 55, 65, and 75-inch versions have a steel stand in the middle. Each version of the C2 has a luxurious appearance thanks to the sturdy stand and minimalist design.

Design of the LG OLED B2

B2: 3 sizes, luxurious design

The B2 has a similar design to the C2. The luxurious steel stand under the screen has a slightly darker color. The B2 also has a very thin screen with a smaller, plastic casing on the back. This TV comes in 3 sizes, 55, 65, and 75 inches, each with the same design. This makes the TV less suitable for very small living rooms.

Design of the LG OLED A2

A2: 48 inches only, less luxurious design

The A2 has a more budget-friendly look. The screen is placed on 2 plastic stands, and is a bit thicker. The casing is also somewhat larger than that of the other TVs. That doesn't mean the A2 doesn't look good in your room, because it still has a sleek design. The TV only comes in 1 size, 48 inches. This makes the TV very suitable for smaller living rooms or a bedroom.

Conclusion

With these 3 LG OLED TVs, you're always guaranteed contrast-rich, colorful, and lifelike images. You'll have the best image quality on the C2, thanks to its high brightness and the 100Hz refresh rate. The C2 and B2 are also very suitable for gaming, even with newer consoles. But the A2 has a lower refresh rate. Still, the A2 is a budget-friendly television in 1 available size that still displays your favorite movies and series realistically.
