How do you choose a WiFi speaker that suits your room size?

Because not every room has the same size and shape, it can sometimes be difficult to determine which speakers are right for you. To make choosing the type and number of speakers easier for you, we'll explain how to choose.

Output according to expert

If you're looking for WiFI speakers on the website, you'll see the 'Output according to expert' filter. This filter is based on a number of speaker features. We take into account how many speakers you can place in the room, the size, the weight, the sound quality according to customers and the build quality according to customers. Based on these specifications, we determine what room size the speaker is suitable for.

How large is your room?

The average living room in the Netherlands is 30m². Because a larger living room doesn't always mean that you need a larger speaker, we also look at the number of speakers. For a 30m² living room, 1 larger speaker like the Sonos Five is suitable. But you can also fill the room with sound with 2 smaller speakers, such as the Sonos One.

Where do you place the speakers?

In addition to the number of speakers, the placement also affects your sound experience. You can buy mounts and mount the speakers at the right listening height, for example. If you get 2 of the same WiFi speakers, you can create a stereo system. This way, the sound comes from the left and right. Want tips for the correct placement of your speakers?
