Trust Mico Microphone

Was looking for a USB microphone for a not so high price and that looked as neutral as possible, after some searching back and forth I came across this one. And while it's not 100% a USB microphone, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I say it's not quite a USB mic as it comes with a 3.5mm jack cable and a USB adapter. This adapter acts like a sound card and adds both a playback and recording device to your system. You have to adjust this (if you do not use the audio side) in your system. The reason why I wanted a USB mic is because I have a laptop and then I can connect all my devices to a USB hub and only lose 1 port. After setting it up according to the very easy to understand instructions and connecting it to a USB 2.0 hub with 4 ports with a mouse and Logitech wireless receiver I was told that every time I spoke there was a clearly audible beep in the background, both in Skype and TeamSpeak. After fiddling around for a while, I noticed that the beep was gone when I plugged it into its own USB port. So there went my plan to leave my USB ports as free as possible. Don't worry, audio quality is moderate to good. No one was extremely positive about Skype or TeamSpeak, but everyone told me that I sounded a lot better than the built-in microphone on my laptop. This microphone comes with its own supplied tripod, a very simple 3 leg design with a screw-on head where the microphone is very well secured. The disadvantage of this is that the microphone and its 3 legs can only stand in 1 possible way, so if you want to put 1 of the legs between somewhere to save space, and that the microphone is still pointed at you you have to be lucky like I had, or should you unscrew the head and put it in the angle that suits you best. I'm not a big fan of this because everything is loose and can wobble (depending on the degree that you had to unscrew it). Overall, this is a microphone that does what it's supposed to do. It doesn't excel at anything, but for the price this is a perfect microphone. If you want to add a microphone to your fixed PC or if your laptop needs an upgrade, this is definitely recommended!
